To whom it concerns:
The purpose of this letter is to recommend Jamie Chenault for any leadership position for which she is certified. I believe that Ms. Chenault exhibits the qualities your organization is looking for in educational leaders. I highly recommend that she be considered for a position within your
organization.
During the time I have known Ms. Chenault, she has been involved in a variety of leadership roles at the International, state, regional, and local levels. Over the past several years she has led and contributed to more initiatives than I can include in this recommendation. However, I would like to highlight a few.
Ms. Chenault was an organizing member of EdCamp Kentucky. This group of educators plan, organize, and facilitate free professional learning for educators in an unconference format. Leadership within this organization exemplifies Ms. Chenault’s passion for providing quality professional learning experiences for educators.
As the Digital Learning Coach in Nelson County Ms.Chenault spearheaded several instructional technology initiatives. Most notable was the monthly Nspired Instruction recorded sessions provided to support district staff. Her leadership in this capacity required engaging district educators in the use of technology to improve student learning.
As a Virtual Learning Academy teacher, Ms. Chenault diligently searched for and implemented the use of many digital tools to meet the varying needs of her students. Moreover, she used familiar digital tools in innovative ways to engage students in the learning process. One such example was her use of Google Earth to have students identify acute, obtuse, and right angles. Ms. Chenault enthusiastically shared her ideas and experiences with other educators to assist them while teaching in the virtual environment.
Ms. Chenault continues to lead professional learning wherever she finds herself. In addition to Ed Camp Kentucky, she regularly presents and contributes through a variety of venues such as the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), the Kentucky Society for Technology in Education (KySTE), and KYGoDigital.
Ms. Chenault continues to impress me with her ability to learn new tools, as well as communicate and implement new strategies with teachers to impact student learning. I am sure you will find her to be an innovative educator whose talents will only shine brighter as she continues to grow. If hired, Ms. Chenault will prove to be an asset to your organization just asshe is an asset to Oldham County Schools.
Sincerely,
Dr. Angie White
